Reliable transport can be one of the biggest barriers to employment, training and education in regional communities.
Northern Coalfields Community Care Association (NCCCA) is proud to be participating in the NSW Government’s Community Transport Trial, helping eligible apprentices, trainees, TAFE NSW students and Registered Training Organisation (RTO) students access transport to work, study and training opportunities.
The trial is designed to support people who may have limited access to private or public transport, helping connect them with opportunities that can support employment, skills development and career pathways.

Why It Matters

Removing Transport Barriers

For many people, getting to work or study isn’t always straightforward.
Distance, limited public transport options and transport costs can create significant challenges, particularly in regional areas.
The Community Transport Trial aims to help eligible participants overcome these barriers and access:
  • Apprenticeships
  • Traineeships
  • TAFE NSW courses
  • Registered Training Organisation programs
  • Employment opportunities
through improved transport access.

Who May Be Eligible?

You may be eligible if you are:
  • An apprentice
  • A trainee
  • A TAFE NSW student
  • A Registered Training Organisation (RTO) student
and have limited access to suitable transport options.
