Denis is currently serving his second three-year term as an independent Director. He brings to NCCCA a wealth of experience in the aged care and health sectors, specialising in the NFP environment and Government sector since 1988. Denis is committed to the provision of services to older persons ensuring they receive the best possible care regardless of their location. Denis previously worked as CEO of one of the largest aged care providers in the Hunter as well as General Manager of the Newcastle Mater Hospital.

Denis is a Fellow of Certified Practising Accountants Australia and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.  Denis has been a director of the then Aged Care Association of NSW, Lake Macquarie Council Audit and Risk Committee and Trans-Tasman Radiation Oncology Group.

Denis serves as Chair of the Environment and Services Committee, Chair of the Development Committee and member of the Clinical Governance and Quality Committee.

With a strong commitment to organisational governance, Denis wants to ensure the best outcomes for older persons and staff alike. He especially looks forward to working with others as the Board leads development of NCCCA services over the next few years.
