Care Your Way with NCCCA

From 1 November 2025, the Australian Government’s Support at Home Program has replaced the Home Care Packages Program (HCP) and the Short Term Restorative Care Programme (STRC).

While the name has changed, our promise remains: to deliver respectful and reliable care, built around what matters most to you.

At Northern Coalfields Community Care Association (NCCCA), we’re proud to support older people across Cessnock, Kurri Kurri and the Hunter Valley to live safely and independently in their own homes.

What Is the Support at Home Program?

The Support at Home program is designed to provide in-home aged care services in a simpler, more flexible way.

It brings together existing programs (HCP and STRC) under one system to help older Australians live independently for longer.

Key features include:

  • Access to services, equipment and home modifications that match your assessed needs.
  • A classification and budget based on your needs so you can choose the right mix of support.
  • For those already on HCPs, a move into Support at Home at the same funding level from 1 November 2025.
