NCCCA Reassures Community: Services to Continue Despite Fuel Price Increases
The Northern Coalfields Community Care Association (NCCCA) is reassuring clients of Cessnock and surrounds that the recent rise in petrol prices will not impact the delivery of home care or community support services.
NCCCA CEO Tony Bidstrup said “Our organisation remains committed to maintaining all scheduled visits and services across the region, despite the challenges of the recent fuel increase.”
“Most people in our community are feeling anxious about rising fuel prices, and this also includes our senior clients who rely on essential workers to travel to them to provide care and services.”
“NCCCA will continue to show up for the people who rely on us. That commitment has not changed.”
NCCCA also acknowledged the added pressure fuel costs place on community care staff, who travel daily to support clients across the region. The organisation is currently reviewing practical ways to ease this burden.
“We are actively looking into measures to support our staff through this period. Their wellbeing is important – but while we work through the details, we want the community to know that the delivery of our services will not be affected by fuel prices”
